Slow Down

Last night I felt a little deflated. Today, however, I started the day with my exercises and I enjoyed them very much. I exercised more deliberately and more slowly this morning. It was more calm and relaxed. There is no reason why I cannot maintain those qualities in my everyday life.

This made me think my tiredness is not only due to my rush for personal progress; it relates to my whole life. I am not the most hectic of people (although I do have a ‘Hurry Up’ driver), but I can still benefit from slowing everything down; my breathing, my movements, my thoughts, my actions and my mind.

I have experienced it before; after a yoga and meditation weekend I found that for a week I was floating through my life with a feeling of calmness and serenity. It was wonderful.
